I have a dream…

29-year old Shakthi was an office boy at Alwarpet. Hailing from Dindigul, He was in Chennai for six months. Shakthi’s problems started after his marriage. He has a one year old daughter and is now estranged from his wife. “There was no understanding with my wife”, he adds sadly. “I studied in Dindigul till 10th standard and later was a balloon seller”, he says.

Shakthi was brought to Anbagam after he started hallucinating. Concerned for his health, Shakthi’s employers contacted Anbagam and admitted him here. “I like to read, Tamil newspapers, magazines and spiritual books”, he says. “I used to watch a lot of films before but have lost interest now”, he adds ruefully.

At Anbagam, Shakthi is a contented soul. He likes to keep himself busy and does quite a lot of odd jobs around the place. He is on medication, the lack of which triggers episodes of intense thinking and worry. “I have a dream. I would like to go back to work someday”, he says hopefully.
